Family Medicine Physician

The physician will provide primary medical care services to our patients in accordance with training, experience, certification, insurance and licensure in a manner consistent with guidelines established in the principles of practice at the Boroughs and its mission statement. The physician will work collaboratively with staff to provide team-based coordinated care. The physician prescribes and/or dispenses required medication to patients according to the individual prescriptive authority granted by the Massachusetts State Board. The physician is expected to participate extensively in clinical and practice affairs, working with administrative personnel, the Medical Director to improve the patient care experience. Responsibilities and Duties​
  • The physician will perform a variety of duties involving clinical and administrative patient care while maintaining the practice standards.
  • The physician will work as part of a care team to provide quality comprehensive services.
  • The physician provides primary medical care services to our patients in accordance with training, experience, certification, insurance and licensure in a manner consistent with guidelines established in the principles of practice at the Boroughs and its mission statement.
  • The physician may refer patients to medical specialists or other sources of service when necessary.
  • The physician prescribes and/or dispenses required medication to patients according to the individual prescriptive authority granted by the Massachusetts State Board.
  • The physician is expected to participate in clinical affairs, working with administrative personnel, the Medical Director to improve the patient care experience.
Requirements
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent. Board certification required. Internal medicine or family medicine (we see adult patients only). License to practice in the state of Massachusetts All applicants must possess a full range of clinical skills and an interest in working with an innovative group practice Knowledge of a variety of software applications, including EMR systems (eClinicalWorks preferred), Microsoft Office / Outlook

Family Nurse Practitioner/Physician’s Assistant

Position Details:

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a certified PA or NP, a graduate of an approved PA or NP training program.

Experience in Primary care, and able to provide health care in a sensitive, nonjudgmental manner to persons of all economic levels and cultural backgrounds required. Capable of independent advanced practice, nursing assessment decisions and nursing management in a primary care setting and CPR trained.

Medical Assistant

The Boroughs Medical and Wellness Center is looking for a full time or part time Medical Assistant at our Westborough, MA location. Hours are typically Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm. Boroughs MWC is a growing private family medicine practice in Westborough and serves patients throughout central Massachusetts. Our mission is to provide compassionate preventative care to all our patients.

Duties

The medical assistant will perform a variety of duties involving clinical and administrative patient care while maintaining the practice standards. Primary duties include patient intake, recording vital signs (BP, temperature, height, weight, etc.) of pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. The duties also include assisting physicians and others with clinical/diagnostic procedures such as urine cultures, pregnancy tests, throat cultures, etc. In addition to the medical duties, the medical assistant will prepare treatment rooms prior to patient entry and a variety of clerical tasks to support practice functions, including answering phone calls, entering information into electronic medical record systems.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Successful completion of a medical assistant school/program, medical assistant certification is preferred
  • Knowledge of office procedures
  • Knowledge of a variety of software applications, including EMR systems, Microsoft Office / Outlook
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
